Induction heating by RF current is now widely utilized in industries such as hardening/tempering/annealing of the steel, forging, melting, brazing, etc., and vacuum tubes, transistors and thyristors are employed for the most suitable applications.
Based on the past experience for more than 30 years, NDK can meet any customers'requirements in this area.
By introducing aperiodic generator technology recently for the first time in Japan, the most efficient tube type generators are now being employed.

APERlODIC HF GENERATOR

Under the license agreement with Albert Jakoubovitch in France, NDK manufactures "Aperiodic Generator".
Different from the conventional type oscillator, it does not have its own oscillating frequency but the frequency is determined by the inductor coil (heating coil) and the capacitor bank connected to it.
In addition, this C-R circuit that is to be a work station is connected to the oscillator by flexible and low voltag cables (less than 1000 volts) and the length may be from 10 to 100 meter depending on the operating frequency.
Because of these features, the conven tional generators are being replaced with this type generators especially in the European countries.



FEATURES

Transmission voltage to the work station is low and its cable length may be long,therefore,system layout is very flexible.
(2)
RFradiation from the cable is very low,there fore,no specific consideration for radio interference is necessary.
(3)
RF power loss in the circuits is low and oscillation efficiency can beas high as 78% that is higher than almost 20% than that of conventional one.
(4)
The frequency is switchable and one aperiodic generator can be operated atseveral different frequencies depending upon the nature of application. Also,Parallel operation of two or more units is possible.
(5)
The oscillator can be built in compact size and its heat qeneration is less than conventional ones,hencecooling requirement is also less.
